Just a few days ago we brought you the first teaser poster for Snow Piercer, the English-language debut by South Korean director Bong Joon-Ho. The film packs an all-star cast including Chris Evans, Octavia Spencer, Tilda Swinton, and Jamie Bell in a post-apocalyptic thriller set on a perpetually moving train carrying the last remnants of humanity.
We're not getting some cool new concept art that shows the cramped, inhumane conditions aboard the train, along with the desolation of the outside world. Most curious to me is the image of what appears to be a classroom. Might that be from a time before the global warming catastrophe takes effect? I haven't read the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige so maybe someone who has can clue me in?
Snow Piercer also stars Ewen Bremner, Alison Pill, Ed Harris, John Hurt, and Song Kang-Ho. Hopefully we'll hear something form The Weinsteins on a release date soon. [CBM]
