Paul Walker gets back behind the wheel in trailer for 'Vehicle 19'

Does anyone even remember Vehicle 19? Probably not, especially since its star, Paul Walker, is kind of forgettable outside the confines of the Fast and Furious franchise. The film first came to our attention back in 2011, and there's been practically no talk about since. Now the trailer is here to give us a pretty good indication as to why.

Directed by South African filmmaker Mukunda Michael Dewil and based on his own Black List-approved script, the action film puts Walker back behind the wheel, only this time his ride is a boring ol' mini-van rather than a souped up muscle car. He plays an ex-con in South Africa who gets the wrong rental car, only caring about the mix up once he discovers a gun and a kidnapped lady in the backseat. Oops. That should at least be worth a discounted rate. Apparently he has to keep her alive long enough to testify against some powerful figure working with a group of corrupt cops, while also trying to make up with his ex-wife.

It looks like Dewil is keeping this as a single-location flick inside the car, and there's nothing I can think of more boring than being stuck in the same place with Paul Walker. Vehicle 19 has yet to gain any U.S. distribution, but someone will pick it up.
