'Monsters University' recruits new students in Rose Bowl TV spot

I don't usually post a lot of TV spots because they're usually just condensed trailers, but Pixar has done something especially clever with the latest one for Monsters University. Debuting last night during the Rose Bowl (zzzzzz....), they've crafted it to resemble one of those cheesy college recruitment commercials. Y'know, the kind where literally every nationality is represented and they're all aspiring to some measure of greatness?

Pretty cool, but the best part is heading over to the official site and taking the virtual tour of the campus, complete with campus store. Any mutant four-armed freaks out there will definitely want to check out the apparel section.

Monsters University brings back the voices of John Goodman, Billy Crystal, and Steve Buscemi, opening on June 21st. Check out the promo plus the plot below....

PLOT: Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
