New 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Victory Portraits

Lionsgate is clearly having a ball with the viral marketing campaign for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. They had similar fun with the first film, creating a faux-magazine and network called Capitol Couture to highlight the obsessive celebrity culture so much a part of the franchise. In keeping with that, they've launched a series of "Victory Portraits" featuring a number of the film's integral characters.

Capitol Couture has issued the first two portraits in the series, featuring Elizabeth Banks as the garish Effie Trinket, and Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman. The next one will be unveiled later today, so stay tuned for that. Directed by Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens on November 22nd. Check out the plot synopsis below.

PLOT: Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow (Donald Sutherland) prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.
