Jessica Chastain joins Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar'
As if the thought of an original work of science fiction from the brilliant mind of Christopher Nolan wasn't enough, he's had to go ahead and put together an incredible cast, as well. Having already lined up Matthew McConaughey and Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway for Interstellar, Nolan has now secured the immensely talented Jessica Chastain.
Details on the film remain hidden, but we know the story is based on an idea by Jonathan Nolan, which Christopher has spruced up with his own theories. It follows a team of explores who travel through a wormhole and encounter alternate dimensions and time travel. Some of the concepts sprang from the mind of theoretical physicist, Kip Thorne, who theorized that wormholes actually do exist.
Chastain is coming off her recent Oscar-nomination for Zero Dark Thirty, and the surprise success of the Guillermo Del Toro-produced horror, Mama. Interstellar will hit theaters in IMAX on November 7th 2014. [Deadline]
