Superman saves the world and makes Hardee's some loot in new 'Man of Steel TV spots

Remember when it looked like Warner Bros. was keeping Man of Steel all mysterious and stuff? Well, those days are long gone, as one would expect with the film only a couple of weeks out. The last few days have seen a wealth of promo material, most of which are pretty great, and one that will probably be mocked mercilessly.

Three new TV spots for the film have been released, and they're pretty much in step with the trailers. Zack Snyder's gift for spectacle and energetic action is on display, but it mainly focuses on exactly what Superman means to the people of Earth. Some will see him as a threat, while others a symbol of hope. Lois Lane just thinks he's pretty hot.

Hardee's has their own idea of what Superman is all about, and it's "$$$". A pretty awful commercial has Henry Cavill, fully decked-out in red and blue, swooping in to help promote the Super Bacon Thickburger, an artery-clogging heart attack in a bun that could probably do more damage to ol' Kal-El than shooting him in the chest with a bazooka.

Man of Steel flies into theaters on June 14th.
