Vince Vaughn reunites with Will Ferrell for 'Daddy's Home'

Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell may not be recognized as a duo in the same way that Vaughn and Owen Wilson are, but the two have appeared in numerous films together over the years. The Old School pals will reunite later this year for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, and after that they'll team up again for a new comedy, Daddy's Home.

Marking the directorial debut by writer Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder, Men in Black III), the comedy "follows a mild mannered radio exec, played by Ferrell, whose life gets chaotic when his wife’s ex-husband, played by Vaughn, re-enters the picture and he must compete to vie for his step-children’s affections.” Ferrell and Adam McKay will produce through their Gary Sanchez Productions, with McKay also collaborating on the script with Cohen, Brian Burns and Chris Henchy.

Vaughn recently signed on to star in another comedy, Business Trip, but the plan is to make Daddy's Home his next project. Both Ferrell and Vaughn are at their best when paired up with co-stars who can perform at their level, which is why they make such great comic foils for one another. Expect this to be a major film when it arrives in 2014. [Variety]
