Jason Schwartzman Joins 'Big Eyes'; Morten Tyldun Directs 'Ghostman'; Paul Feig Plans 'Susan Cooper'

* Tim Burton will hopefully get out of creative funk with Big Eyes, a biopic on married artists Margaret and Walter Keane (Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz), who rose to fame in the 1950s with their images of doe-eyed children. The latest to sign on is Jason Schwartzman, playing an art gallery owner named Ruben. He joins co-stars Krysten Ritter and Danny Huston in chronicling the Keane's break-up and subsequent legal battle. [THR]

* Headhunters director Morten Tyldun is on quite a roll of late, recently coming aboard to helm the long-developing Alan Turing biopic, The Imitation Game. Now he's gained another prominent gig, as he'll direct an adaptation of Ghostman, Roger Hobbs' crime novel about a mysterious criminal mastermind who sees his closely-guarded anonymity exposed in the wake of a failed casino robbery.

* Paul Feig's been red-hot ever since Bridesmaids, and hopes to keep the temperature up when The Heat opens in a few days. But he's already looking forward to his next project, and no it won't be that Bridget Jones' Diary he was attached to for awhile, although it will be another comedy geared towards the ladies. The Wrap reveals that Feig is developing a female spy franchise in Susan Cooper. Feig penned the script, a two-hander said to be closer to James Bond than something like Johnny English, but there will be comedic elements to it. The search for an actress to take on the title role is underway.
