Man of Steel opens in just a few days, and I'll finally be checking it out for myself tonight. I have my doubts that it will be as great as many hope it to be, for a number of reasons beginning with Henry Cavill and ending with my general disinterest in Superman. Don't get me wrong. I'm excited and hope it's amazing, and if it does turn out to meet the lofty expectations a large part of the reason will be due to Hans Zimmer's score. We've heard a couple of tracks from the legendary composer already, but with the soundtrack going on sale tomorrow June 11th, the full album is now online. I've only listened to a few cuts so far, and already it's clear that this is something very different than what he composed for Christopher Nolan's Batman movies. It's more majestic, and totally fitting for the ultimate superhero.
