Naomi Watts and Robin Wright's 'Two Mothers' Gets A New Trailer And Name Change

Exclusive Media are having a little trouble figuring out a proper way to market the latest film from Anne Fontaine (Coco Before Chanel), Naomi Watts, and Robin Wright. Formerly titled The Grandmothers, and then Two Mothers, the film has now been given the relatively dull title of Adore, but none of that is really the problem. The real culprit and the bane of the marketing department's existence is the premise, which has two lifelong friends nailing each other's sons. Makes for an awkward 30-second TV spot, I imagine.

A new trailer for the film has been released, and while the performances look terrific, it's hard not to chuckle at the entire premise. Perhaps the best approach would be to simply focus on Watts and Wright, two of the finest actresses working today and can lend credibility even to something as potentially tawdry as this. It does seem to be a serious-minded look at relationships, in particular for women of a certain age, but when you see Watts lusting after a guy a fraction of her age something doesn't quite click.

Adore hits theaters and Itunes on September 6th.
