New Trailer and Poster For 'Prisoners' Starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal

Never fear, the blockbuster season will eventually come to an end, and looking forward to the fall there are a lot great character-driven dramas on the way. One that appears to be the most promising is Prisoners, the long-developing revenge thriller starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. An impressive trailer was released a few weeks ago, but now a second one has debuted, and it's looking more and more like this year's The Town.

Directed by with grimy crime genre precision by Denis Villeneuve, the film has Jackman as a small-town carpenter whose daughter and her best friend are kidnapped. Gyllenhaal is the young, slick cop leading the investigation, but when he fails to get any results, Jackman takes matters into his own hands. With Paul Dano, Terrence Howard, Melissa Leo, and Viola Davis rounding out a stellar cast, there should be some great performances to carry what looks like a thrilling morality tale.

Prisoners hits theaters on September 20th.
