Vin Diesel Is Left For Dead In the New 'Riddick' Trailer

With Comic-Con right around the corner, you're going to be seeing a lot of films vying for attention, and Vin Diesel is making sure Riddick gains the favor of the geek crowd. This past weekend he took to his Facebook page and revealed a new Comic-Con exclusive poster, and now today sees the release of a trailer with plenty of never-before-seen footage.

Eschewing the polish that fans rejected in The Chronicles of Riddick, Diesel and series director David Twohy are going back to the harsher look of Pitch Black. In the last film, Riddick had become leader of the Necromongers after killing their leader, but now he's betrayed by them and left for dead on a desolate planet where he's pursued by bounty hunters. Dave Bautista and Katee Sackhoff co-star, but suspiciously absent is Karl Urban, returning as Lord Vaako.

Riddick hits theaters on September 6th.
