Bryan Singer Teases Quicksilver's Family in 'X-men: Days of Future Past'

While Joss Whedon has said Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be major players in The Avengers 2, we have less info on what their role will be in Bryan Singer's X-men: Days of Future Past. It was back in May that Singer surprised everyone by adding Evan Peters to the mutant film as Pietro Maximoff, with the suggestion that his appearance would be brief. There's also been no mention of whether his sister Wanda Maximoff would be appearing, although it would be strange to have one without the other close by.

The latest teaser tweet by Singer reveals that it will be a Maximoff family gathering of sorts, or at least we'll get a look at his home life. Maybe the reason why we've yet to hear anything about Scarlet Witch is that she'll merely be a background character? It's interesting that Singer would tweet this particular image, since one of the constraints to him using the Maximoffs is that he can't even hint at their being the children of Magneto. Is this way of being cheeky about the whole situation? Something tells me it is.

X-men: Days of Future Past opens on May 23rd 2014.
