Rob Liefeld's been chatting up a potential film based on his X-force team of Marvel mutants, but at the same time he's working on bringing one of his creator-owned projects to the screen. He had begun work on developing his comic The Godyssey into a feature film, and now today its most popular character Avengelyne is getting her own solo movie, portrayed by none other than Haywire and Fast & Furious 6 star Gina Carano.
Carano and Liefeld are totally rebuilding the property in hopes of turning it into a franchise in the vein of Underworld. Avengelyne was a fallen angel cast to Earth where she fights demons and must protect "the one", a person with the key to save all mankind.
Carano and Liefeld are here at Comic-Con, and apparently they are far enough along that she will be signing posters featuring her as the character. [THR]
