Say what you will about The Lone Ranger, like that it totally bombed this past weekend, but Gore Verbinski got the two train sequences exactly right. Nobody would compare director James Mangold to Verbinski when it comes to staging massive action scenes, but there's been a lot of talk about the "bullet train" battle he put together for The Wolverine, and now we can get a look at what all of the fuss was about.
The first clip has been unsheathed, and it's basically a minute and twenty second fight scene as Logan (Hugh Jackman) battles members of the yakuza aboard a speeding train. It's a fast-paced, action packed bit of footage that also finds a unique way to incorporate the famous X-men "fastball special".
The Wolverine opens on July 26th.
