Vince Vaughn Has Prolific Sperm In First Trailer For 'Delivery Man'

Canadians loved Ken Scott's ingenious fertilization comedy, Starbuck, making it one of their top-grossing comedies a couple of years ago. Hollywood noticed, of course, and after a "blink and you'll miss it" theatrical run here, a remake titled Delivery Man was quickly developed with the original writer/director Ken Scott, and with Vince Vaughn in the lead role played before to great effect by Patrick Huard. A teaser has been out there for a few weeks but now the first full trailer has been released, and it's basically a frame-for-frame recreation, which may be a good thing.

Vaughn stars as an immature loser with no concept of responsibility, who discovers that the sperm he donated years ago was used to father more than five hundred children, and now they all want to sue to find out who their daddy is. Cobie Smulders is the woman Vaughn desperately wants to prove himself to, and so he sees this as an opportunity to show he can be a real father-figure. It also looks like the role of Vaughn's lawyer best friend has been expanded for Chris Pratt, but otherwise there's little difference between this and the prior film. Starbuck was a heartwarming and genuinely funny film that should easily translate to the American audience, so maybe this will be a decent bounce back for Vaughn after the lukewarm reaction to The Internship

Delivery Man opens on November 22nd.
