Say what you will about the spotty quality of Woody Allen's most recent films, the legendary director knows how to keep to a schedule.We can pretty much expect another comedy from Allen every single year, and with Blue Jasmine hitting theaters this summer, he's already hard at work on developing his next film.
With Emma Stone and Colin Firth set to star in the untitled project, Allen has now added Oscar-nominee Jacki Weaver, Oscar-winner Marcia Gay Harden, indie fave Hamish Linklater (Groove), Eileen Atkins, Simon McBurney, Jeremy Shamos and Erica Leershen. Leershen previously worked with Allen on Anything Else and Hollywood Ending, but hasn't done much worth noting since. Keeping with Allen's usual modus operandi, there are no plot or character details available, and there probably won't be for quite some time.
Allen's next film, Blue Jasmine, opens on July 26th.
