First Clip from 'Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2'

Sony's Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 doesn't seem to have missed a beat with new directors Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn coming aboard. The first clip, which premiered at Comic-Con but is now available online, shows inventor Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) assembling his team to stop mutant food/animal hybrid monsters of his own creation.  I've still never seen the first film, just never had any interest, but all of the food puns we've seen in the sequel's trailer have been hilarious, and this footage pretty much seals the deal that I should go check it out before taking this one in.

Featuring the voices of Anna Faris, James Caan, Will Forte, Andy Samberg, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Terry Crews and Kristen Schaal, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 opens on September 27th.



 PLOT: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 picks up where Sony Pictures Animation’s mouth-watering comedy left off. Inventor Flint Lockwood thought he saved the world when he destroyed his most infamous invention — a machine that turned water into food causing cheeseburger rain and spaghetti tornadoes. But Flint soon learns that his invention survived and is now creating food-animals – “foodimals!”  Flint and his friends embark on a dangerously delicious mission to battle hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, hippotatomuses, cheespiders and other foodimals to save the world – again!
