Channing Tatum to Star in Jonathan Levine's 'Bad Romance'

After going on the best run of his career in 2012, starring in five films with three of them breaking $100M, Channing Tatum has slowed down a little this year. His one Oscar contending film, Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher, was bumped to some time in 2014 when he's already going to be plenty busy. With The Lego Movie, Jupiter Ascending, and of course 22 Jump Street on the way, Tatum has found enough time to squeeze in one more.

Tatum will star in and produce Bad Romance, the next film from writer/director Jonathan Levine. There aren't any plot details just yet, but chances are it will be unlike anything either has done before. Levine's diversity has become his most defining trait, starting his career with the horror All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (only recently released), the retro drug comedy The Wackness, the cancer dramedy 50/50, and this year's oddball zombie romance Warm Bodies. Tatum has been mixing it up as well, and it'll be interesting to see what he can do working alongside Levine.

Where this will fit in Tatum's busy schedule is anybody's guess, but hopefully we'll hear about that soon. [THR]
