First Poster for Wes Anderson's 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'
There are a few things we've come to expect from any Wes Anderson film at this point. One: that he'll assemble an amazing ensemble of Anderson regulars and new faces looking to try something different. Two: his films will have an intoxicating, storybook quality that promises they'll always be gorgeous to look at. Three: that fairy tale touch will carry over to the marketing campaign, most especially to any released promo art. And that is certainly the case with the first poster for his latest effort, The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Resembling The Royal Tenenbaums and last year's terrific Moonrise Kingdom, the image captures the luxurious European hotel in which the story is set. Penning the script solo for the first time in his career, Anderson spins a tale set in early 20th century Hungary and follows a legendary concierge played by Ralph Fiennes, and his trusted protégé played by Saoirse Ronan.
The rest of the cast is superb with Edward Norton, Owen Wilson, Tilda Swinton, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Harvey Keitel, Jason Schwartzman, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Mathieu Amalric, F Murray Abraham, Bob Balaban and Lea Seydoux, so the expectations are going to be high that Anderson can surpass Moonrise Kingdom's success. No release date yet, but you can expect to see the first trailer for The Grand Budapest Hotel on Thursday night.
