Impressive Wonder Woman Fan-Made Trailer
There have been rumblings of Wonder Woman possibly appearing in Superman vs. Batman, spurred on by a Warner Bros. casting call sheet looking for physically strong actresses between the ages of 25-33. It's certainly possible that we could see her appear, perhaps in civilian form, as a lead-in to a larger role much later on in Justice League or solo spinoff. Whether it happens or not, Rainfall Films have an idea of what a Wonder Woman film should look like, and they've put together a two-minute trailer starring the sexy Rilieah Vanderbilt (Hatchet trilogy) as Princess Diana of Themyscira.
For what is essentially a free labor of love by the studio, the visual effects are impressive and you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into this. It would be generous to see that most fan made trailers are a mixed bag because in truth the majority are pretty terrible, cutting together footage from old movies and casting it as something new. So I appreciate seeing one that is all new material and presents a filmmaker's actual vision. Not convinced this is the Wonder Woman I would want to see on the big screen, but it's still a very worth effort. Here are a few words from director Sam Balcomb....
"Firstly, thanks for watching. Whether you like, or dislike, our live action interpretation of Diana of Themyscira, Wonder Woman, born of clay, I think (quite a few of) you will agree she is a character just as vital and crucial to our understanding of humanity as any other superhero... if not more so.
We spent the majority of 2013 working on this -- the look, the feel, the aspects we most wanted to portray. It's a scant two and half minutes, but in the end, it's one hundred and fifty seconds of pure fantasy, where I get to consider the two sides of my favorite warrior: a crusader in man's world, and a paragon of virtue told through Greek mythology.
It's a fun world to hang out in. I hope you enjoy it."
