'Agents of SHIELD' to Crossover with 'Thor: The Dark World'
It still happens every time November sweeps rolls around, but remember how this time of year you can always count on shows like Friends and Will & Grace flooding each episode with as many celebrity cameos as possible? Well, the Marvel version of that is teasing a connection between Agents of SHIELD and one of their major feature films, in this case Thor: The Dark World. Marvel has announced that the November 19th episode titled 'The Well' will crossover with the Thor sequel, which opens on November 8th. But fans who are now rejoicing over that news might want to slow their roll.
First of all, nobody from the film will actually be in the episode, so don't expect to see Chris Hemsworth or Tom Hiddleston to pop up anywhere. And the plot description doesn't read like there will be any direct connections either....
In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World," Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces--one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.
On the extremely positive side, the episode will be directed by Jonathan Frankes, who Star Trek: The Next Generation fans will know as Commander William Riker. It'd be cool if he could guest star, also, but instead we'll get Peter MacNicol as Professor Elliot Randolph, Michael Graziadei as Jakob Nystrom, Erin Way as Petra Larsen, Toby Wilson as Neils, Alex Neustaedter as Maynard and Sylvia Brindis as Elena.
Be sure to keep an eye out for +Julian Lytle's weekly recap of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. Here's a teaser for the upcoming episode, "FZZT".
