'X-men: Days of Future Past' Characters Revealed in 25 Empire Magazine Covers

There is no bigger fan of the X-men than yours truly, but even I must admit the marketing for X-men: Days of Future Past has reached absurd levels. After an over-hyped tease that something big would be coming up from Empire Magazine, the results have been sortof ho-hum, and that includes this release of 25 new "collector's covers" featuring a different character from the massive ensemble.

There's very little that's special about any of these images, with the exception of a look at a future version of the robotic sentinels (which kind of resemble the Phalanx) and perhaps our best glimpse at Adan Canto as Robert "Sunspot" DaCosta. Otherwise, who cares if Toad has his own cover? And why would anybody buy it? Does Bryan Singer really need his own?  And what's up with Anna Paquin getting one when we know that Rogue's scene has been sliced from the film? Am I the only one who thinks 20th Century Fox is setting themselves up for a massive fail with a campaign that seems to be emphasizing the film's size rather than if it's any good.
