Get an Early Look at the Final 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Designs

Now that Michael Bay and Jonathan Liebesman's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has ditched that whole extraterrestrial idea and gone a more traditional route, the only concern left was how the turtles would look. There was some freaking out over a Halloween costume based on the upcoming film, but...seriously folks, did you really think they'd look like something a kid wears while trick or treating? Of course not. Now we're getting a better idea of how they'll really appear, courtesy of some production art and maquettes.

The maquettes, which may look like toys but are really built for the production, give us a look at Leonardo and Donatello, who will be played by Pete Ploszek and Jeremy Howard, plus a bandaged Raphael played Alan Ritchson. The art gives us a look at the updated design for Shredder, which will have William Fichtner under the mask. All of these are pretty much in line with earlier rumors and closely resemble the original designs with a few minor tweaks.

Co-starring Megan Fox as April O'Neill, Noel Fisher as Michaelangelo, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, and Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens August 8th 2014. Check out the images below. [CBM]
