'The Fault in Our Stars' Team Reunites for John Green's 'Paper Towns'

John Green is about to be Hollywood's next favorite author, with Fox 2000's adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars due this summer. Hitching on to Green's meteoric rise, the studio is now looking to bring another of Green's novels to the big screen, and reuniting much of the 'Stars' team to do it.

Fox 2000 has picked up the rights to Green's book, Paper Towns, setting screenwriters Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter to pen the screenplay. The duo has been red hot, especially when it comes to teen romances, previously writing (500) Days of Summer, The Spectacular Now, and the aforementioned 'Stars'. Nat Wolff, who also has a co-starring role in the cancer drama, will take the lead in Paper Towns, an off-beat story of mystery and revenge. Here's the book's synopsis:

Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs back into his life–dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge–he follows.

After their all-nighter ends and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues–and they’re for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees of the girl he thought he knew.

No word on a director just yet, but is there any reason why 'Stars' director Josh Boone won't get the call?  [Deadline]
