Christina Chong Takes Role in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'
Even if you happened to catch 24: Live Another Day the name Christina Chong might not ring any bells, but she's about to get a lot more famous. The British actress, who also has appeared in Madonna's W.E. and has a role in Ridley Scott's Halo digital series, has joined the growing cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.
Her role is unclear but is expected to be a minor one, and she becomes the latest addition to a film that stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega, Lupita Nyong'o, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Daisy Ridley, Andy Serkis, and more. She also becomes the latest female castmember after there was a little bit of an uproar over the lack of women in the initial announcements. It was obvious there would be more females announced later on and that has definitely been the case.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode VII opens December 18th 2015. [Latino Review]
