Looking an awful lot like a modern update on Timecop, the new film Predestination stars Ethan Hawke as...well, a timecop, or more accurately a "temporal agent". It reunites him with Daybreakers directors Michael and Peter Spierig and based on this new trailer, looks like a vast improvement. Here's the official synopsis:
"Based on the short story “All You Zombies” by Robert A. Heinlein, PREDESTINATION chronicles the life of a Temporal Agent (Ethan Hawke) sent on an intricate series of time-travel journeys designed to ensure the continuation of his law enforcement career. Now, on his final assignment, the Agent must recruit his younger self while pursuing the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time."
Predestination co-stars Noah Taylor and Sarah Snook, hitting VOD and theaters on January 9th 2015.
