James Cameron says 'Avatar' Sequels will make you "Sh*t Yourself"

We expect a filmmaker to hype their upcoming projects to the moon, which is why we don't often post stuff like that, but James Cameron's latest boast is too good to pass by. The director spoke with Empire about his upcoming Avatar sequels, which should be heading into the production phase soon and will undoubtedly push the technological envelope. Cameron wasn't shy about just how awesome he thinks the return to Pandora is going to be. Open wide...

Cameron: “I can tell you one thing about them, they’re gonna be bitchin’. You will shit yourself with your mouth wide open."

Cameron's plan of attack to cause audience defecation was to shoot the films in an insane 60fps, but he's scaled back to 48fps, which we've seen work out pretty well in The Hobbit movies.

Cameron:  “My thinking at the time was that 60 [FPS] might be a better segue to the video market. I’ll be plugging into a system that’s a little more mature, so it makes sense for me to do 48 frames at this point.”

The Avatar sequels are being written by Amanda Silver & Rick Jaffa (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Shane Salerno (Savages), and Josh Friedman (The Black Dahlia), with the first film arriving December 2016. Be sure to wear a diaper.
