Will Charlie Brown ever get to kick the football, or will Lucy just keep yanking it away from him forever? Chances are when Blue Sky Studios release The Peanuts Movie next year, we aren't going to see ol' Chuck finally get his wish because..well, that's not how Charles M. Schulz would have wanted it. A brand new trailer and crop of photos have been released from the animated film, again showing how authentic to Schulz's beloved comic strip it aspires to be. Well, except for the Flo Rida track replacing the classic Peanuts theme we all know and love.
The photos arrive courtesy of USA Today, who say the focus of the film will be on Peanuts' timeless quality and 50-year history...
"When The Peanuts Movie arrives in theaters next year, producer Paul Feig promises that Charlie Brown won't twerk, wear a baseball cap backwards or try to "break the Internet" a la Kim Kardashian."
As for the story, it apparently involves Charlie Brown embarking on a quest to attain something he thinks he needs. And of course there will be a chance for Snoopy to hop on his doghouse-turned-Sopwith Camel plane and battle the infamous Red Baron while flying off to Paris during WWI. Outside of superhero movies, this might be the film I'm most anxious to see in full.
The Peanuts Movie opens November 6th 2015.
