'The Interview' gets VOD Release Today on YouTube, Google, and XBox

Now that Sony has given the thumbs up for certain theaters to run The Interview on Christmas Day, they've gone ahead and made the comedy available through digital On Demand services as well. Take that North Korea, random rogue Sony employee, or whoever hacked Sony and caused all this nonsense.

Those who wish to see the movie in the comfort of their own home can do so beginning TODAY, December 24th, at 1pm EST through YouTube, Google Play, Microsoft's XBox service, and the website www.SeeTheInterview.com. Be ready to plunk down $6 to rent the film or $15 to own it outright. There's a chance Sony could hammer out deals with Netflix and other distributors soon.

It'll be interesting to see if the theater chains dig this move because it will cut into their bottom line. They fought hard to get the movie released and now Sony is making it easier for audiences to stay home.
