Watch the Annoying "Ant-Sized" Teaser for the 'Ant-Man' Trailer

Because there are hundreds of movies and thus hundreds of different marketing campaigns, we've seen the entire practice of film promotion turn into a gimmick. Remember how annoyed everyone was with the 3-second previews of future teaser trailers? How pointless we all thought they were? Well Marvel has that beat. They've decided to be too cute by half in hyping this year's Ant-Man movie with a teaser so tiny you'll need a microscope to see anything. >sigh<

The 16-second spot offers some shots somebody out there with too much time on their hands is already downloading, blowing up, and going over with a fine-toothed comb. The real thing in a size we were all meant to see arrives on January 6th during the premiere of the Agent Carter series, so it may be in your best interests to wait until then rather than causing eye strain by watching this one. Maybe somebody thought this was clever but I find it highly annoying.

So does this mean when the eventual Giant-Man movie comes out the trailer will be in IMAX format? Ant-Man opens July 17th.
