Ok, Who Asked for a Stomp the Yard sequel?

I was a fan of the original Stomp The Yard. I saw it twice in the theatres, so there must've been something I dug about it. It certainly had more working for it than all of the other lame "urban" dance films had(lookin' at you You Got Served!). With that said, I never felt like the story needed to be continued. Pretty much everything that needed to be said was said. Do I really need to see the further adventurs of DJ(Columbus Short) as he graduates into the workforce or something? And I really have no interest in DJ as an upperclassman training the next generation of dancers.

I don't know what the story will be, but I know we're getting it. THR is reporting that Rob Hardy, who exec-produced the first film, has signed on to helm the follow up. Columbus Short is already aboard to reprise his role as DJ. The film is set to begin shooting next month in Atlanta, so they aren't wasting any time.
