Dunst goes Upside Down for Sci-Fi Romance

A few months ago I had heard a little rumor about an upcoming sci-fi flick starring Kirsten Dunst called Upside Down. I didn't pay it much mind because the rumor at the time was that Emile Hirsch(Into the Wild) was also attatched and that was a bit of a turn off. Other than Into the Wild I can't stand the guy as an actor. Ok, and Speed Racer. A few months passed and now more details on the film are starting to emerge.

First of all, Dunst is still top billing, but now instead of Hirsch they've decided to go with Jim Sturgess(Across the Universe) alongside her. The film has a budget somewhere north of $50M, and will be written/directed by Juan Diego Solanas in his first big screen flick here in America.

The story is a little different than what I was expecting, but fits the two stars completely. It entails an ordinary man named Adam who attempts to find his long lost love, Eve, by traversing alternate universes. It's being described as very romantic, Romeo & Juliet in concept. Kirsten Dunst has always been one of my favorites. Hell, I have a whole section of my DVD shelf just for her movies. She's always the perfect love interest in any film as far as I'm concerned. Sturgess I'm less sold on. He was brutal in 21 last year, but I thought his turn in Across The Universe(which is more romance than anything) was solid. This could be one to keep an eye on.
