Rami Malek and Madisen Beaty sign up for PT Anderson's The Master

Just how many characters are in this movie, anyway? It seems like every day there's someone new being added to the cast of Paul Thomas Anderson's untitled religious film. I'm not complaining, as it's one of the few films I'm truly excited about following every step of it's development.  Previously titled The Master, the story centers around a disillusioned man named Lancaster Dodd who returns home from WWII and begins a popular religious movement that catches on with other lost souls. Philip Seymour Hoffman stars as Dodd, while Joaquin Phoenix is his right hand man. Amy Adams, Laura Dern, Jesse Plemons, David Warshofsky, and Lena Endre are aboard. And now we're learning that two more youngsters are joining as well, including one that has a role in the upcoming Twilight flick.

Rami Malek and Madisen Beaty are the newest additions, and while both are relatively new faces their careers are taking off pretty rapidly. Malek made his big screen debut just a few years ago as Prince Akhmenrah in both Night at the Museum movies. He'll be seen next as "Benjamin" in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Beaty's biggest claim to fame was as the 10-year old version of Daisy in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, where she had a chance to work alongside Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. She also had a starring role in Lifetime network's original film, Pregnancy Pact, which is much funnier than it has any business being. Watch it next time they show it, which is often. Beaty had been rumored to be up for a role in Anderson's film more than a month ago. All of the actresses rumored have since signed on.

Malek will be playing Clark, the husband to Dodd's sassy 19 year old daughter. Whether Beaty will be filling that role is yet to be confirmed, but it seems likely. She is only 16 years old, however. We'll find out soon enough as shooting is set to begin exactly one week from now.

Thanks to Variety and TheFilmStage for the info on this story.
