Sure Shots: Sam Worthington; Olivia Munn; Death Race 3 hits the starting line

* After starring in three hugely successful films in a row, including the highest grosser of all-time, Sam Worthing saw his name mentioned for practically every big tentpole project. However very few of those actually came to fruition. It looks like that isn't slowing him down, though, as Deadline reports the Aussie actor will star in an untitled sci-fi film from buzzed about writer Aaron Guzkowski(Prisoners). The film is described simply as "a grounded space war film" at this point, and no director has been attached. Worthington will be seen next in the long delayed revenge flick, The Debt, starring Helen Mirren.

* I still shake my head at seeing Olivia Munn as a part of The Daily Show. I much prefer her in Wonder Woman garb. With that said, her career has taken off in directions nobody could have forseen. After showing up briefly in Iron Man 2(remember the rumors she'd be The Wasp? Pfft!), the former Attack of the Show host will be starring in an indie comedy from the highly overrated guys at Broken Lizard(Club Dread). The film is Babymakers, and stars the awesome Paul Schneider(All the Real Girls) as a husband who attempts to rob a sperm bank when it's discovered that he and his wife can't conceive.

* I loved the first two Death Race movies, with the second Luke Goss starring film actually being better than the Jason Statham one. We kinda knew last year that Paul W.S. Anderson was interested in doing a third film, and now Moviehole is reporting some actual plot details on Death Race 3. It will take place after the events of the last movie, and moving the brutal contests from the prison to the sandy deserts of Mexico. It's expected that some of the original cast will return, including Danny Trejo and Tanit Phoenix. Anderson will be handling the scripting chores himself.
