Trailer Time: Three, directed by Tom Tykwer

Ever since Tom Tykwer's breakout with 1998's kinetic Run Lola Run, I think it's been nothing but diminishing returns ever since. His most recent film, The International, featurd one amazing action sequence wrapped around two hours of boring bank chatter. Not what I expect from the guy who had Franka Potente racing around Berlin for 80 minutes. Maybe Cloud Atlas, his sci-fi collaboration with The Wachowskis, will get him back on track.

His latest film, Three, sounds sorta simple on the face of it. A married couple, who have been together for 20 years, both let themselves fall into an extramarital affair. The catch is that unbeknownst to them, they've been seeing the same man. D'oh! It only gets worse from there, believe me, as you'll see in this new trailer ahead of it's limited release on September 16th. Beautifully shot, like all of Tykwer's films are, and I'm guessing it's not nearly as serious as the trailer paints it out to be....
