'The Hunger Games' gets a new IMAX banner

Lionsgate continues to pull out all the stops pushing the March 23rd release of The Hunger Games, with the debut of a new IMAX banner for the hotly awaited film. In the latest image, we get a glimpse of the story's heroine, Katniss Everdeen(Jennifer Lawrence) taking aim with her trademark bow and arrow.

Directed by Gary Ross and based on the wildly popular novels by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games takes place in Panem, a nation built on the ruins of old North America. The nation is divided into 12 districts of various economic stature. Each year they are asked to present one boy and one girl to compete the Hunger Games, a competition where  they will fight to the death until only one remains. The reasons why this occurs I'll leave secret for now, as it plays a major factor in not only this film but in the rest of the trilogy.

In an effort to save her little sister who has been selected to enter the competition, the strong willed Katniss volunteers herself, and along with Peeta Mellark(Josh Hutcherson), a local boy she shares a confusing history with, she must fight to survive and protect her family. Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Liam Hemsworth,  Elizabeth Banks, Wes Bentley, and many more co-star.
