'The Seventh Son' adds 'Man of Steel' villainess Antje Traue to the cast

German actress Antje Traue has been acting for the better part of twelve years, but she didn't really start to make her mark over here until a couple of years ago in the bone dry sci-fi flick, Pandorum. Her big break won't really come until next year when she plays the evil Kryptonian, Faora, in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel.  With that franchise hopeful finally wrapping up principle production, Traue is jumping into what Legendary Pictures hopes will be another.

Variety reports she will join the cast of The Seventh Son, the fantasy film directed by Sergei Bodrov(Mongol), and based on Joseph Delaney's popular tween novels. Starring Jeff Bridges, Alicia Vikander, Julianne Moore, Ben Barnes, and the recently added Kit Harington, the story follows the seventh son of a seventh son trained to seek out dark magic by a legendary mentor. Traue's role in the film is unclear at this point.

Filming begins in April, with a release expected some time next year. Traue was most recently seen in Renny Harlin's film based on the 2008 Russo-Georgian conflict, 5 Days of War.
