For awhile there it looked like Piranha 3DD wasn't going to make it's way into American theaters, but Dimension Films heard the outcry and decided to not release the film straight-to-DVD as it will in the UK. Lucky for us, as so far there's been nothing but good buzz surrounding it, and we'll probably get a concrete release date in the next few weeks. A pair of new international posters have been issued, which hopefully means a trailer isn't far behind.
John Gulager(the Feast trilogy) is re-teaming with writers Marcus Dustan and Patrick Melton in a follow up to Alexandre Aja's surprise hit horror comedy. Set a year after the swarm of lethal fish decimated Lake Victoria during spring break, they're now headed upstream directly for the town's newest summer attraction, the Big Wet water park. Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, and Paul Scheer are back, with new potential victims in Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Hasselhoff, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy, and Gary Busey.
