Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams kiss and kill in the trailer for 'Passion'

2010's French erotic thriller, Love Crime, was an underrated psychosexual experience bolstered by two steamy performances by Kristin Scott Thomas and Ludivine Sagnier, along with the late Alain Corneau's steady direction. The film had the look of something Brian De Palma would have done, which is why I think nobody complained when the director so quickly picked it up for an American remake. Titled Passion, the film is about to have its premier in Venice and Toronto, and so we're finally getting a look at the sexy new trailer.

Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace play two women working for the same multinational corporation, but who end up on a struggle for power as one continually exploits the other's ideas, leading to murder. There's some serious sexual tension that develops between the two, and De Palma has no problem teasing us with a little girl-on-girl action.  Like most De Palma films, it looks a little like high-class trash, which means it'll likely be just as polarizing as much of his other recent work has been. You can sign me up for it, though. De Palma is better at this type of film than when he dabbles in something like The Black Dahlia or Redacted.

There's no U.S. distribution for Passion yet, but you can bet that will change soon. Check out the trailer below....
