With Fox Searchlight set to release Hitchcock in just over a month, we can probably expect to see a trailer emerge in the next day or two. But before that, the studio has dropped some new images in the latest issue of People Magazine, giving us our first looks at Jessica Biel as Vera Miles, Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, and James D'Arcy as Tony Perkins.
All three characters are obviously the stars of Alfred Hitchcock's horror classic, Psycho, which serves as the backdrop for the Sacha Gervasi-directed film. Based on the novel, Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, the story follows the personal and professional hurdles the director had to overcome to get the film made. The new images also give us a fresh look at Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock, along with Helen Mirren as his wife, Alma. Hopefully we'll get better shots than this tomorrow, but right now I'm really impressed by Biel's and Johansson's transformations. D'Arcy too looks like he might have been an inspired choice for Perkins. The resemblance is uncanny.
Hitchock will make a case for the Oscars when it opens on November 23rd.
