Y'know that scene we always get in movies where two people bond while sharing their physical scars? We see it all the time, and one of my favorites was in Kevin Smith's Chasing Amy. Well, David O. Russell's Silver Linings Playbook has one of those moments between Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, only their two characters are finding they have a lot in common with all the medications they've been on.
The first clip from the film has emerged and its a perfect example of the offbeat humor that made the film such a clear favorite out of Toronto. Cooper plays Pat, a man who is trying to get his life together after being released from a mental institution. Resolving to get back together with his wife, he meets the equally troubled Tiffany(Lawrence), who can rattle off the scientific names for meds just as well as he can, apparently. Co-starring Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver, Julia Stiles, and Chris Tucker, Silver Linings Playbook opens on November 21st.....
