We're extremely proud to be hosting a special one-night only showing of cult classic,
Battle Royale! The event will be held at the gorgeous Angelika Mosaic in Fairfax, VA, on Thursday May 2nd at 7:30pm. Originally released back in 2000,
Battle Royale was so controversial that it never had a proper theatrical run here in the United States, but became a pop culture legend and obvious inspiration to
The Hunger Games. Set in a future version of Japan where teen crime has exploded and the economy destroyed, one high school class is sent to a remote island each year where they are given weapons and forced to fight to the death. The film stars the legendary "Beat" Takeshi Kitano (
Zatoichi) and Chiaki Kuriyama (
Kill Bill).
Along with having the chance to experience this incredible film on the big screen as it was meant to be seen, attendees will have a chance to win a copy of
Battle Royale: The Complete Collection on Blu-Ray, along with other prizes. Tickets are only $12, and we really hope to see you all there for this very special occasion.
Please go here to reserve your seats now! You will not be charged until the event actually takes place
. Please, tell your friends and spread the word!
