Those who have been following Sylvester Stallone's Twitter have seen him buzzing quite a bit about his search to find a director for The Expendables 3. After targeting and apparently getting rejected by Mel Gibson, Stallone recently began crowing that he had found his guy, and that he would inject some new blood into the action franchise...
"Found it... Blood Sweat and Fears, coming soon... My best PURE ACTION FILM - The last RAMBO - I want this one too top it and I believe it will with NEW BLOOD."
After indulging in a little guessing game with his followers, Stallone revealed that Aussie director Patrick Hughes will lead the aging heroes into their mission. Hughes last wrote and directed the 2010 Australian thriller, Red Hill, but has mostly been working in TV and commercials since then.
Stallone says he also wants to inject some new blood into the cast, specifically looking to bring in more females. Uh, hello! Cynthia Rothrock on line one!! It's expected that Jackie Chan will join the crew, while Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford, and a host of others have been rumored.
