Lee Pace is the villain in 'Guardians of the Galaxy'
While Marvel was still testing away in search of someone to play Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, one of the many many names that cropped up was Lee Pace, who is perhaps best known for his role in Pushing Daisies. While he didn't win the part, as they went with the unlikely choice of Chris Pratt, Pace obviously made quite an impression because he's now joining the film in a completely different capacity.
Pace did such a good job that Gunn has set him for the lead villain role, which is still being kept under wraps just like a good deal of the plot. According to The Wrap, the story has the team of intergalactic heroes protecting the universe from an evil alien race, so are we talking the Skrulls here? Maybe Pace as the Super-Skrull? Just speculating.
Last year turned out to be a busy one for Pace, who turned up in Lincoln, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn pt. 2, and as Thranduil in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, and Ophelia Lovibond, Guardians of the Galaxy opens on August 1st 2014.
