Emma Watson digs the club scene in new trailer for 'The Bling Ring'

"America has this sick fascination with the Bonnie & Clyde thing". The obsession with celebrity culture has been a recurring theme in Sofia Coppola's films throughout her career, usually seen through the lens of a woman trying to find her place in the world. Rather than merely touching on that theme, it's what The Bling Ring is all about, and how the need for fifteen minutes of fame can turn criminal really fast.

A new trailer for the film has been released, putting star Emma Watson front and center as the leader of a gang of Beverly Hills kids who broke into the homes of their favorite celebs and made away with more than $3M in stolen loot. The footage gives a better look at their time living the high life, hitting all of the parties where the hottest tabloid celebs hang out. Despite consistent critical acclaim, Coppola's films don't typically turn up in multiplexes. With Emma Watson playing against type and a story that looks to skewer Hollywood, this might be Coppola's biggest box office hit yet.

Starring Leslie Mann, Taissa Farmiga, Paris Hilton, Kirsten Dunst, and Gavin Rossdale, The Bling Ring opens on June 14th.
