'Only God Forgives' clip with Ryan Gosling comparing sex and violence

So it's Friday, and you want to get the weekend started right? Then OF COURSE you want to watch this clip of Only God Forgives director Nicolas Winding Refn and his star Ryan Gosling chatting about the similarities between sex and violence. Well, Refn chats, and Gosling eyefucks the camera. There's no other way to describe it; sorry I'm not sorry.

What worked so well about Drive, which previously teamed up Refn and Gosling, was the directness of the film - and the impactfulness of that directness. No extraneous dialogue, no unnecessary fluff. The focus on Gosling's character, and his growing passion with Carey Mulligan's Irene, was a good juxtaposition with the growing violence and brutality of the film. So, sex and violence operated on parallel tracks continuously threatening to intersect - much like what Refn is describing in this Only God Forgives clip.

I mean, or you could just ignore the theoretical cinematic stuff and simply click through because Gosling looks super disgustingly hot and Refn is the perfect kind of crazy-committed-lost-in-his-vision director and then Gosling is practicing his boxing and IT'S VERY STIMULATING VISUALLY. I giggled like a gross perverted maniac during this video; hopefully you will too.

Only God Forgives hits U.S. theaters on July 19, 2013. For the clip, click through!
