'Fast & Furious 7' Adds MMA Star Ronda Rousey

With Michelle Rodriguez, Gina Carano, and the dearly departed Gal Gadot (I'm still quite bitter, y'know), the Fast & Furious franchise has enough tough chicks they could probably wipe the mat with Vin Diesel. Certainly they could put a whuppin' on Paul Walker. It was quite a coup when Carano joined Fast & Furious 6, and it looks like they're going to the MMA well one more time in the sequel.

After scoring her first big screen role in The Expendables 3 just a couple of weeks ago, UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is now in talks for Fast & Furious 7. It's unclear what her role would be, but dreams of a pier 6 brawl between her and Carano are probably dancing in director James Wan's head. She'd be the second major new addition to the cast, following the shock reveal of Jason Statham as the film's villain.

Rousey is in the midst of a heated feud against rival Miesha Tate, and after filming both movies back-to-back, she'll go right into 45 days of training for their rematch.  Fast & Furious 7 hits theaters on July 11th 2014. [Variety]
