New International Trailer for '300: Rise of an Empire'

Perhaps Warner Bros. has realized that less is more when it comes to a film like 300: Rise of an Empire, which not many have much in the way of expectations for. The latest cut clocks in at only 60 seconds but is more efficient in getting across the story's scope and the visual approach taken by incoming director Noam Murro. The footage begins with an impassioned speech by Queen Gorgo (the returning Lena Headey), inspiring the Greek navy to get revenge for her dead husband Leonidas by defeating the Persian army led by Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). Murro may be mimicking Zack Snyder's style but he looks to have done a solid job of it, and frankly this continues to look far better than it has any right to.

300: Rise of an Empire stars Eva Green and Sullivan Stapleton, opening March 7th 2014.
