First Trailer for Scott Frank's 'A Walk Among the Tombstones' Starring Liam Neeson

Before Scott Frank made his acclaimed directorial debut with the taut Joseph Gordon-Levitt crime flick, The Lookout, he had already been established as one of the top writers in Hollywood for penning the screenplays for Get Shorty, Out of Sight, Minority Report, and more. It has been seven years since he last got behind the camera and for his return with A Walk Among the Tombstones, Frank has Liam Neeson as famous badass detective, Matthew Scudder.

Scudder is the lead character in the series of novels by famed author, Lawrence Block, and in A Walk Among the Tombstones he's hired by a drug dealer (Dan Stevens) to find his kidnapped wife. This is the type of role Neeson fits like a glove as Scudder comes with a ton of emotional baggage and tough-guy grit. Also starring are Boyd Holbrook, Ruth Wilson, and Whitney Able.

A Walk Among the Tombstones opens September 19th.
